Dr. Lisa Williams

Veterinarian

Hi, I am Dr. Lisa Williams, and I am the proud owner of Fleur Pet Hospital. I spent my childhood growing up in rural Runnells, just SE of Des Moines, where my parents lovingly allowed us to take in every stray animal that came our way. Since then, I have always had a special connection with animals, and they have always felt safe around me. I attribute my desire to become a veterinarian to all these great pets from my younger years. I began working in the veterinary field before I could drive and continued to learn more about the field by holding several job titles in vet clinics while I attended ISU, pursuing my dream job of becoming a veterinarian. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science in 1985 and completed my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 1989, both from ISU.

Since then, I have had the opportunity to work in different clinic settings around the Des Moines and Altoona area, and I gained a lot of insight into what it would look like to own and work in my own hospital. My goal has always been to spend true quality time with you, the pet owner, and your pet(s). I want to educate you thoroughly, address all your concerns, answer all your questions, and “treat your pet like our own.” It is important to me to improve your pet’s health and life through healthy preventive care and educate you on the best medicine available for your beloved fur baby. I was fortunate enough to purchase Fleur Pet Hospital in 2004, and my goals began to come to fruition.

My husband, Tim, and I reside in rural Runnells, where we live on an acreage with two horses, one Yellow Lab, one Chihuahua, and two cats. We enjoy going for walks, antiquing, working in the yard and garden, bird watching, and horseback riding. We also enjoy going to ISU games as well as the KC Chiefs when we can get away. I personally love flower gardening, watching birds, and photography. Our grown children keep us busy, and we are fortunate enough to have them nearby.

I want to welcome you to Fleur Pet Hospital, where I can personally promise we will “treat your pets like our own.”

Kelsey Alexander

Registered Veterinary Technician

I’m Kelsey! I’m a Registered Veterinary Technician here at Fleur Pet Hospital. I graduated from IWCC with a degree in veterinary technology in 2011 and dove right into the field. When I’m not at work, you’ll usually find me hanging out with my family and friends and my two adorable dogs, Oakley and Milo. I love outdoor activities and playing sports; when I want to unwind, you can catch me watching movies.

Madi Motz

Practice Manager

Hi there! I’m Madi, the friendly face behind the scenes here at Fleur Pet Hospital. Although I’m new to the practice, I already feel like part of the family. Swapping out my office cubicle for the company of wagging tails and purring kitties has been an absolute delight! With a background in social work, transitioning to the world of veterinary care has brought exciting challenges and joys that certainly keep me busy! I’m thrilled to be a part of such an incredible team dedicated to providing top-notch care to your furry companions.

Kayleigh Vos

Client Care Specialist

Hi, everyone! I’m Kayleigh, and I couldn’t be happier to be a part of the Fleur Pet Hospital team. While this is my first venture into the veterinary field, animals have always been a massive part of my life. Whether it’s dogs, cats, rabbits, or birds, I’ve always been surrounded by furry (and feathery) friends, and I’m thrilled to be now helping them receive the care they deserve. When I’m not at the clinic, you’ll likely find me spending quality time with my own animal companions or ice skating, even on the hottest summer days.
